Industrial & Warehouse Floor forming
Formwork systems designed to support high load capacity, laser screeds, and strict floor flatness tolerances.
Forming the Clean Industrial Flat
Industrial warehouses and fulfillment centers require concrete floors that are exceptionally flat and level (measured as high Ff and Fl numbers) to allow safe high-speed forklift operation and heavy racking placement. Joint concrete boundaries must be formed flat to prevent edge curling. Slabform's rigid perimeter steel-framed bulkhead systems align securely, ensuring flat joints cross the entire concrete floor.
Handling Laser Screed Wheel Surcharges
During active concrete placement, industrial floor contractors utilize heavy motorized laser screed machines to grade and level the slab. This places severe localized wheel loads on the forming bulkheads.
| Industrial Slabs | Typical Depth | Estimated Gravity Surcharge | Forming Assembly Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aviation / Industrial Hangars | 14" to 18" reinforced | Heavy aircraft dynamic landing design | Steel Heavy Bulkhead + custom bracing |
| Retail / Fulfillment Hubs | 10" to 12" fiber-reinforced | Laser screed wheel path (up to 4,500 lbs) | Alu-Slab Heavy + double-down stake pinning |
| Standard Warehouse Mat | 8" to 10" reinforced | Vibrating beam screed loading | Alu-Beam 140 backing assemblies |
